MRAD Monitoring the Radiation Effects (TECNOBIT/STRAST)

The aim is to observe the effect of the radiation dose received in orbit on the satellite’s HW. To do this, an error check will be made on a part of the computer’s memory at certain intervals of time and a record of the damaged memory positions will be kept, and statistics will be made of the number of damages as a function of time (and from this its position in orbit will be deduced). An attempt will be made to see the effect of the so-called South Atlantic anomaly.

MGM Magnetometer (Bartington)

An agreement has been reached with Bartington to test this magnetometer in flight. The aim is to measure the Earth’s magnetic field with this experimental magnetometer and compare the results with other measurements taken with qualified magnetometers and with other sensors of the attitude control subsystem.

MTS Micro Thermal Switch (Iberespacio)

This experiment, called “MicroThermal Switch” (MTS), has been proposed and is being built by IberEspacio. The objective of the experiment is to demonstrate the operation of a thermal switch developed by Iberespacio, in a miniaturized version, whose function is to evacuate the heat from a certain component into space (using a radiator), so that a certain maximum temperature is not exceeded, which can be adjusted in advance.
